The Emancipation Party’s sole objective is to return our Government to a form that more closely resembles that set forth by our Founding Fathers and in the United States Constitution.
The words below formed the basic tenet that drove the Founders to break from British rule, to put in place the framework that allowed for the birth of a Nation. These words still hold true with regard to the outright usurpation of the authorities granted to our elected representatives. An ever widening division within the Congress of the United States of America between Democrats and Republicans has diminished our Nations capacity to function in an adequate, efficient or acceptable manner.
Furthermore, the President of the United States, as well as the members of the Congress of the United States have gravitated themselves to a practice of uncontrolled spending of record proportion, which has put us on a collision course with bankruptcy and national failure. We can not, in good conscience, sit idly by and watch the legacy of our Children and our Grandchildren be destroyed by this practice. It is our aim, our goal and our intent to use any and all legal channels available to us to bring this new political party to prominence, and to find and support candidates that embrace and embody these values to further our cause and to take back control of our country.

That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
